A LIFE IN PHILOSOPHY
He built a teaching career that took him across Bihar: Koshi College, Khagaria; JRS
College, Jamalpur; and finally, Punpun College, Patna, from which he retired as the
Principal. He wrote his lecture notes in a beautiful hand and had the gift of weaving
philosophical concepts into the texture of everyday life, so that his students left class
feeling not that they had studied something remote, but that they had understood
something true. His students remember him as “Sir” who could weave magic into dreary
books, who travelled the physical and the metaphysical with equal ease, and in whose
classes, hours would pass like seconds.
THE MAN HIMSELF
He was a man of considerable personal magnetism, warm and witty, with a
mercurial quality that kept people on their toes. To sit with him was to lose track of
time. Even an ordinary afternoon in his company always felt like something worth
remembering. He was a master story teller, spinning magic and meaning.
With his vision as the guiding spirit, The Foundation that bears his name shall carry
forward the light he lived by.
